Abstract Sessions
Abstracts are presented by the abstract authors in the three abstract sessions, on Monday, January 26, 2026, Wednesday, January 28, 2026 and Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 10:35-11:05 in the lecture hall. No poster exhibition or online posters of the abstracts are foreseen.
Please consult the online program for details regarding the exact time of your abstract presentation.

Guideline for presentaton generation
Language:
English
Time: Each abstract presentation is scheduled for 10 minutes (7 minutes presentation + 3 minutes Q&A)
Number of slides for presentation on-site: 3-4 slides, structure: 1. Background, 2. Study design and questions OR Methods, 3. Results, 4. Conclusions
Presentation format: 16:9 recommended
Video formats: Avi, MPEG, MPG

File upload
Next to the 3-4 slides presented on-site, all abstract authors must upload a PDF of their presentation at least 5 days before the symposium starts, by January 20, 2026 at the latest. This PDF is visibile for all registered participants of the symposium 2026 when logged in. The abstract authors can decide if they want to add more content to the uploaded presentation (beyond the 3-4 slides presented on-site).
To conduct the upload, log in with your user account used for the abstract submission on this website, go to View submitted paper/sessions and click on the Actions button to upload your PDF file.

The scientific integrity of the International Winter Symposium in Intensive Care Medicine and the facilitation of informed scientific exchange are high priorities for the organizing committee. All discriminatory content and language must be avoided, and gender equality must be ensured in all written and spoken documents and presentations associated with the International Winter Symposium in Intensive Care Medicine.

Publication of abstracts
All accepted abstracts are published on the symposium website and the program.


Technical information

The lecture hall is equipped with a laptop and projector. We ask speakers to save their presentation on a USB stick and to hand it to the organizers in the lecture hall at the latest during the last break before the start of the session.


Registration

Please note that at least one abstract author must be present at the symposium in person. The presenter is not automatically registered for the symposium. Hence, don't forget to register online via the symposium website for your participation.

Furthermore, we recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible to have an unlimited choice of hotel categories and accommodations.
